Preview sites
Some of the best local leads have no website at all. Google lists the business — name, phone, address, rating — and that is the whole online presence. A preview site turns that listing into something you can show the owner on the first call: "this is what your site could look like, and here is the link."
SiteRevive builds the preview for you. It spends no credits and uses no outside service; everything on the page comes from what Google already lists.
Who gets one
A preview site is offered on the lead page when the business has no website of its own:
- Google lists no website for the business; or
- the only listed page is a booking page, a social page, a free site-builder page, or a directory listing (see Qualification and contact evidence for what each badge means).
A business that has its own website does not get one. A preview would be pitching a replacement nobody asked for; those leads get the report instead. A lead that unsubscribed, is on the suppression list, or was disqualified never gets a preview.
Build it
- Open the lead in Manage Leads and find the Preview site card.
- Click Generate preview. The page is built in a moment from the listing: the business name, its category, the phone number, the address, and the rating and review count when Google has them.
- Anything Google does not list is a clearly labelled placeholder. Nothing on the page states a fact about the business that Google did not.
The card shows the private link. Use Copy link to put it on your clipboard.
What the owner sees
The link opens a full page with a banner across the top: Preview — not live, prepared by your company for their business, with a note that placeholder sections are examples. Your logo and accent colour from Settings are on the banner and footer. When you have added a booking link in Settings, the footer carries one button, Want this site? Book a call, that opens it.
The link is private. It is not listed anywhere, search engines are told not to index it, and only someone who has the link can open it.

Use it on the call, or in the draft
- Phone-first leads. When a lead with no website is on your Work these first list, the call card shows Open preview next to the number. Read the link out on the call.
- Emailed leads. Tick Include in outreach on the card and the drafted email carries one line with the link, when the short template has room for it. You still review the draft in Send Queue and send it from your own mailbox; SiteRevive never emails the owner for you.
When the owner opens it
Every time the link is opened — by the owner, or by anyone they pass it on to — Viewed the preview site appears on the lead's timeline, so you can see it before you call back. For a lead already in your outreach (report ready, sent, or replied), an open also counts as engagement on Work these first, the same way an email open or a link click does, and repeat opens count up to a point so one curious owner does not crowd out a real reply. For a phone-first lead, the timeline row is where you see it.
Your own opens do not count while you are signed in: open a preview from your own workspace and nothing is recorded. Opened signed out — on your phone, say — it is counted like any other open, so check your work from the app.
Regenerate, disable, re-enable
- Regenerate rebuilds the page from the current listing at the same link.
- Disable link turns the link off; anyone opening it sees a not-found page. A draft you have not yet approved loses the line; an approved draft is never changed.
- Re-enable turns the same link back on, and a draft you have not yet approved carries the line again when Include in outreach is on.
Nothing here publishes anything to the owner's real domain. A preview is a conversation starter; the site you build for a paying client is your own work, in your own tools.
