Questions we get on the phone every week.
Do you charge extra for same-day or emergency calls?
Same-day during office hours costs the same as any other visit. After-hours emergency visits add a $95 dispatch surcharge, which we tell you on the phone before anyone drives over. Comfort+ members get one after-hours call a year with no surcharge.
Repair or replace: how do you decide?
We use the 5,000 rule: multiply the unit's age by the repair cost. Under $5,000, repair usually makes sense. Over it, we'll show you the math on a replacement side by side and let you choose. We don't pay technicians commission on new systems.
What brands do you install and service?
We service every major brand. For new installs we carry three tiers from two manufacturers we've had the fewest warranty calls on. We'll tell you the names on the estimate; we don't sell one brand because of a dealer bonus.
How often should I change my filter?
One-inch filters: every 60–90 days, sooner with pets. Four-inch media filters: every 6–12 months. If your system is running more than usual, check the filter first. It fixes about one in five "no cool" calls before we even arrive.
Are your technicians employees or subcontractors?
Employees, all eight of them, background-checked and drug-tested, in a marked van with a name on the shirt. You'll get a text with their name and photo before they arrive.
What if I'm not happy with the work?
Tell us within 30 days and we'll come back and make it right at no charge. Parts carry the manufacturer's warranty; our labor carries a one-year warranty on repairs and two years on installs.
