Dr. Raman opened Lakeshore in 2012 after eight years in a large group practice, with one rule: nobody leaves with a question they were afraid to ask. Six people work here. You will get to know all of them.

Things people ask before they book.
I have not been to a dentist in years. Will I get a lecture?
No. About a third of our new patients say the same thing. We take X-rays, tell you what we see in plain words, and rank it: what needs doing now, what can wait, and what is optional. You decide the pace.
Do you take my insurance?
We are in-network with most PPO plans and accept nearly all employer plans out-of-network with similar coverage. Text or call us with your plan name and Dominic will check benefits before your visit, at no charge.
What does the $129 new patient special include?
A full exam with Dr. Raman, a complete set of digital X-rays, and a standard cleaning and polish. It is for patients without insurance. If you turn out to need a deep (periodontal) cleaning instead, we will explain why and quote it separately before doing anything.
Can I really be seen the same day for an emergency?
If you call before 3 pm on a weekday, yes. We hold two emergency slots daily. After hours, our phone line forwards to the on-call dentist, who will call you back within 30 minutes.
I'm nervous. What do you do about that?
Tell us when you book, and we will schedule you at a quiet time with extra minutes. We use topical numbing before any injection, headphones at every chair, a hand signal to pause, and nitrous oxide ("laughing gas") is available for $65.
How old should my child be for a first visit?
By their first birthday or within six months of the first tooth. Early visits are short, free under age 3, and mostly about getting comfortable in the chair.
Do you offer payment plans?
Yes. Anything over $300 can be split into 12 monthly payments at 0% interest through our financing partner, with a quick approval at the front desk. Our $29-a-month membership plan is another option if you have no insurance.
